A little-known and calm place with the unique nature of the Ukrainian Carpathians, lurking on the southern slope of the Arshits ridge (Gorgan mountain range), in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Amazing beauty of pristine nature, crystal clear water of the lake, clean air, silence will leave the most vivid memories of time spent here.
It is an ideal place to relax with the whole family, away from the modern bustle.
Few people know about the existence of Lake Rosokhan, therefore there are practically no tourists here.
But, with the development of tourism in Ukraine, this trend will continue for a short time.
After all, there are plenty of people who want to see the purest reservoir of the Carpathians.
The water in it is so clean that every pebble at the bottom is clearly visible.
Its surface, like a mirror, reflects to the smallest detail the blue sky and vegetation along the perimeter of the lake. When you review the photos of tourists who managed to visit here, the thought creeps in by the will that the photo was processed in Photoshop. But, no, everything is really real!
Lake Rosokhan, its parameters
The total area of the reservoir is 500 m²;
The depth of the lake, in the dry season, is about 2.8 m, in the rainy season it can reach up to 4.5 m;
The length is 50-70 meters, a width of almost 20 m;
Given the natural location of the lake (1,120 meters above sea level), the water temperature does not exceed 15 degrees even in summer. Therefore, only walruses or daredevils can feel quite comfortable in the lake.
Regarding the occurrence of the reservoir there is no unequivocal opinion. Some believe that it appeared after a landslide, others believe that the lake arose as a result of a meteorite fall.
